In answer to this question, this paper fi rst delineates the development and various accounts of intersectionality as a notion and method in gender studies. Secondly, it argues that intersectionality is not only a useful paradigm and methodological approach in the sociological foundation of intercultural gender-ethics but also an important paradigm for ethical refl ection itself.
