Assim o objetivo deste estudo é verificar a associação entre religiosidade e depressão, destacando sua relação histórica e de resultados na psicologia. O fator histórico do tema da religiosidade aparece na literatura da Psicologia desde o início do século XX, com diversas abordagens de diferentes autores. Em relação a associação entre religiosidade e depressão, inúmeros estudos apresentam resultados positivos, assim como alguns estudos apresentam resultados negativos entre essas variáveis. Contudo podemos concluir que a religiosidade, é fator protetor para depressão e que na maioria dos casos contribui para diminuir os níveis da doença. | ||
| 520 | |a Nowadays, the religious experience is being highlighted as playing an important role in the human being. It has been arising interest among researchers, especially those who pointed out associations with depression. Therefore, the aim of this work is to verify the association between religiosity and depression, focusing on its historical relation and from published results in psychology. The historical theme of religiosity appears in the psychological literature dated back from the beginning of the XX century. It has been regarded with different approaches from various authors. In relation to the association between religiosity and depression, many studies show positive results. However, there are a couple of studies which show negative results between these variables. In conclusion, religiosity is a protector factor for depression and in abounding reported cases it helped to diminish the levels in this mood disorder. | ||
