| Summary: | O presente artigo tem como objetivo principal a apresentação de uma análise do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Religião - doravante PPGCR - da Universidade do Estado do Pará, cujo início das atividades remonta ao ano de 2010. O caminho percorrido recuperou, primeiramente, a herança investigativa em torno da religião no contexto amazônico, ao reconhecer os pioneiros trabalhos de campo realizados por Eduardo Galvão e, contemporaneamente, os de Raymundo Heraldo Maués como peças fundamentais dessa herança e como pavimento da constituição de um programa específico de estudos e pesquisas sobre a religião na Amazônia brasileira. Como segundo elemento do aludido pavimento, propôs-se a consolidação, no âmbito da Universidade do Estado do Pará, de um curso de Licenciatura Plena em Ciências da Religião, que desde a época de sua criação, no ano de 1999, responde às demandas de formação de profissionais para o ensino da religião no Estado do Pará. Com este cenário montado, pôde-se apresentar o estado atual do PPGCR, considerando os seguintes aspectos: sua área de concentração, suas linhas de pesquisa, suas inclinações teórico-científicas, o perfil dos seus recursos humanos (docentes e discentes) e suas atuais demandas acadêmico-investigativas. The present paper has the purpose of presenting a analysis of the Post-Graduation Program of Religious Studies - from now on known as PPGCR - of the State University of Pará, whose beginning of activities takes place in the year of 2010. The road since then taken has recovered, at first, the investigative heritage that surrounds the amazon context by recognizing the very first field works here performed, highlighting therefore the studies of Eduardo Galvão, and nowadays, the ones of Raymundo Heraldo Maués, as fundamental pieces of this heritage for the basis of construction of a specific program of studies and research about religion in the Brazilian Amazon. As a second element of this process, it has been proposed the consolidation, within the State University of Pará, of a Major in Religious Studies, which since its creation, in the year of 1999, has been responding to the quest of formation of professionals who intend to work as teachers of religion in the State of Pará. Taking in consideration the scenario here presented, the current state of PPGCR has being considering the following aspects: its fields of study, its focus area, its theoretical-scientific inclinations, its human resource profile (faculty and students) and its current academic investigative quests. |
