Description
Résumé:In this article we shall discuss the relations between religiosity and criminal labelling, in na attempt to comprehend how religiosity might serve to mitigate the process of criminal subjection, especially as a regard of his own self. Specifically for the christian religions of the pentecostal branch, the exteriority of good (concentrated at the figure of God) and of evil (conventrated in the figure of the devil), might allow the individual to put himself as external to this discussion. Hence, he might produce narratives that will keep him from thinking of himself as intrinsecally “bad”. The empirical data comes form 40 semistrutured interviews with juvenile delinquentes institutionalized in centers at the Vitória metropolitan area.
