Summary: | This paper seeks to present the work of the Rebuild Project, a therapeutic community linked to the Community Charismatic Maranatha, and the Renewed Life Institute (IVR), therapeutic community associated with the Assembly of God of the Last Days (ADUD). Both therapeutic communities are located in the state of Rio de Janeiro and concentrate their activities in the care of drug users in general, particularly of illicit drugs. Therefore, it is possible to point out that there are intrinsic motivations for rows of chemically dependent individuals seek treatment at the screen in institutions. In addition, there are certain approaches and departures in the action plans that these therapeutic communities apply throughout the treatment offered to drug users seeking help in them. The data presented here were collected between the years 2011 and 2015 through observation by field research and interviews with internal and members of the technical staff of the institutions studied. |
