Résumé:From an ethnographic research carried out in groups of Alcoholics Anonymous in Bacalar, Quintana Roo, describes how the twelve steps of the therapeutic program of Double A are not based in the field of clinical medicine, but in the religiousness of the therapeutic method that is used to indoctrinate their supporters. Such a procedure, is a conversion process through which the followers of Double A mending his believe and purify their soul.
