Cependant, certaines considérations canoniques et jurisdictionelles ont aussi conditioné sa flexibilité. Ainsi, en somme, l'application et le développement du droit canon par Innocent a abouti à des décisions équitables et humaines de sorte que le jeune innocent ne serait jamais pris indûment comme victime. This article examines the correspondance of Innocent III in order to discover his position toward children of questionable birth status. To a large extent, the pope acted with much compassion and sensitivity regarding these children and their parents, particularly in the area of the juridical rehabilitation of illegitimates. However, certain canonical and jurisdictional considerations also conditioned his flexibility. Thus, on the whole, Innocent's application and development of canon law resulted in equitable and humane decisions so that the innocent young would not be unduly victimized. | ||
