Leitende Voraussetzung ist dabei der Gedanke, dass Kirche als institutionell sichtbare Größe wie als religiöse Wirklichkeit nicht ohne den Horizont ihrer sozialen, personalen, medialen und kultischen Verkörperung adäquat zu denken ist. In diesen Verkörperungsformen ist sie nicht lediglich Ausdruck religiösen Selbst-, Raum- oder Gemeinschaftserlebens, sondern prägt diese Dimensionen religiöser Erfahrung. Mit Beiträgen von Philipp David, Jörg Dierken, Katharina Eberlein-Braun, Thomas Erne, Alexandra Grund-Wittenberg, Marcus Held, Matthias Jung, Isolde Karle, Anton Friedrich Koch, Malte Dominik Krüger, Hendrik Munsonius, André Munzinger, Magnus Schlette, Maike Schult, Thomas Wabel, Johannes Weth und Ruben Zimmermann. Symbolic Embodiment and Protestant Ecclesiology] The contributions of this interdisciplinary volume, address questions of protestant ecclesiology in the perspective of the embodiment paradigm. In order to be understood adequately, it is argued, the church needs to be seen in the horizon of the ways in which it is embodied – socially, in persons, in cult, and in different media. Thus, the Christian church, regarded as a religious reality and as a visible institution in its different forms alike, is not merely an expression of the experience of oneself, of sacred space, or of the community, but rather shapes these dimensions of religious experience. | ||
