Description
Résumé:The article describes the model and practices for educational orientation developed in the field of services provided since 1978 by several schools in Rome; these were developed by psychologist-teachers from the Pontifical Faculty of Educational Sciences "Auxilium" with the participation of the students in training. The first part briefly reviews the historical evolution of the concept of orientation, and the gradual recognition of its role in an educational context is explained. The article proceeds by presenting the figure of the psychologist within the school in order to illustrate the methodology characterizing the interventions, the procedures for discovering students' attitudinal and affective-motivational skills, and the additional formational and psychoeducational services directed towards parents, students, and teachers.
