Er ist somit die Grundlage dafür, dass 2021 das Festjahr „1700 Jahre jüdisches Leben in Deutschland“ begangen wurde. In den 24 Beiträgen dieses Buches, die zum überwiegenden Teil auf einen Call for Papers für „Aus Politik und Zeitgeschichte“ zurückgehen, spiegelt sich ein kleines Stück der Vielfalt des jüdischen Lebens in Deutschland wider – von den frühen Anfängen bis in die Gegenwart. Sie zeigen, dass gelebtes Judentum wesentlich mehr ist als Religion, und dass es innerhalb der jüdischen Community in Deutschland eine große Bandbreite unterschiedlichster und sich wandelnder Identitäten gibt. | ||
