Pour combattre contre l’absurde et restaurer du sens, la figure de la Révélation en Jésus-Christ déplace la quête de relations ou de normes « totalisantes » en faveur d’une fraternité concrète, redimensionnée par la charité (trans-finalisation). La souffrance nous confronte à la Passion-Résurrection et à la beauté de l’amour du Christ comme un sommet de la liberté, sa liberté que le Christ désire nous partager (transfiguration). | ||

In the face of sin and finitude, Thévenot proposes Christ both as a principle of reality that allows us to recognise these realities and as a source of liberty that restores our capacity to belief, to hope, and to love in order to overcome them (transgression). In the fight to restore meaning in the face of absurdity, the figure of Revelation in Christ displaces the quest for "totalising" relationships and norms in favour of a concrete sense of fraternity reshaped by charity (trans-finalisation). Suffering forces us to face the Passion-Resurrection and the beauty of the love of Christ as the summit of the liberty that Christ wishes to share with us (transfiguration). | ||
