I, however, argue that after some differentiation, it is possible to speak about crisis in regards to our societies in Central and Eastern Europe. In social theory, the term "crisis" is currently used not primarily to describe one particular societal phenomenon, but rather the entire area of today’s society and culture. Crisis, for social theorists, seems to be the fundamental phenomenon which serves as a main theoretical framework to understand the contemporary societal transformations. | ||
