Summary: | The recent social survey of Peking is a valuable study of the economic, political, educational, and social conditions in this great Chinese city, and supplies precisely the information needed by missionary enterprises for the effective planning of their work. This survey is the last of a significant series, starting with the Pittsburgh Survey in 1907. A brief account of the rapidly extending use of the survey is given, and the value of this method of exploration for the church is set forth. |
