| Zusammenfassung: | , Marchal examines the potential interconnections and gaps between several "strands" of biblical interpretation in order to elaborate a feminist, postcolonial analysis of Paul's letter to the Philippians. By both surveying and critically engaging previous approaches to Paul's letters by scholars focusing on postcolonialism, Roman imperialism, and feminism, the author indicates the need for further collaboration and a strengthened, multi-axial approach to these letters written, distributed, and still used in various imperial settings. The resources for this approach can be found in feminist scholarship on colonial and postcolonial contexts, from both within and outside of the field of biblical studies. |
