520 |a This paper has the aim of investigating Wolfgang Gruen’s contribution to the epistemological development of Religious Education in Minas Gerais state. For this, I have initially sought to understand Gruen as a historical subject, to detail his anthropological Religious Teaching proposal and, then, identify his influence on the formulation of the Minas Gerais Reference Curriculum, a regional adaptation of the National Common Curriculum Base (Base Nacional Comum Curricular - BNCC). The necessary information has been listed from the analysis of texts and audio and video recordings. Through the research, it is noticeable that Gruen’s influence gave Religious Teaching in Minas Gerais state a unique perspective compared to the original proposal from BNCC.
