Description
Summary:Mahatma Gandhi saw himself as a soldier of peace. This article attempts to explain how his years in South Africa moulded the young lawyer into a potential Mahatma whose experiments with truth involved rigorous religious training for exacting political expression. Swami Vivekananda was in sympathy with his methods. The Swami's philosophy also propounded the view that religious transformation was the basis for any form of sociopolitical expression that demanded justice as the basis of all social action.
