Summary: | This article intends to present a book, recently published, entitled Luther and ontology. The presence of God in the world (F. Buzzi - D. Kampen - P. Ricca [edd.], Claudiana, 2021). Going beyond a unique judgment that attributed to the great reformer a total rejection of philosophical reflection, it is highlighted that in Luther there is indeed a departure from an application of the metaphysical system of Aristotle to the subject of theology, without however denying the ontological significance of his writings starting from the novelty brought by the divine revelation that took place definitively in Christ.
