Kokoro, a comprehensive term that includes both “mind” and “heart,” “thinking” and “feeling,” allows one to speak of science and religion as interrelated. The presentations and discussions from the GPSS colloquia and symposium series in 2005–2006 are examined and quoted to show how kokoro was a useful concept to stimulate discussion in this area, and how it provides potential for future science-religion dialogue in Japan.
