In Russia, specifically, the effect of the Soviet policy of déchristianisation cannot be underestimated. In today's Russia, religion is a kind of laboratory in which all sorts of developments are being experimented with, which were forbidden before 1917, and suppressed from 1917 until the 1980s. | ||
