The second hypothesis posits that these same generational differences hold true for Church-based (intra-Church) ideology. Findings from an original questionnaire completed by two hundred and fifty-two priests in Southern California support both hypotheses. It was established that younger priests are more conservative—both politically and within the Church—and there is a high level of correlation between political ideology and ecclesial ideology for priests of all age groups. | ||
