The validity of moral reasoning is ascertained in the process of authentic dialogue, in which narration, confession, and the affirmation of general principles are concretized. It cannot be reduced to metaethical abstractions outside that concreteness. Such valid dialogue is marked by the normativeness of Jesus, by the multiplicity of charismata contributing distinctive perspectives and skills to it, by renewed critical recourse to the evangelical origins to judge and redirect, and by confidence that the work of renewal will continue. | ||
