This paper, based on data obtained from a random sample of 1603 Jewish households in the Providence metropolitan area, is concerned with changes in the nativity differential in Jewish fertility. Data presented clearly show that fertility differences between foreign-born and native-born Jewish couples have diminished for recent age-generational groupings. Furthermore, a degree of fertility homogenization has taken place for native-born Jewish couples irrespective of the distance from their immigrant forebears. | ||
