Three arguments are used to prove that this has not happened: the original charisma has been repeatedly re-awakened; in the so-called forum internum, i.e., the practice of the confessional, no legalization has taken place; and the growth of a rationalizing theology has been counter-balanced by a permanent and ever-renewed exploration of mystery, especially through the medium of art.
