Thus, the Erik Janssonist movement of 19th century Sweden has been analyzed here with respect to the socio-economic predicament of its particular adherents. But an effort has also been made to show something of its dialectical development. This has been done by examining the extent and impact of its interaction with a whole range of groups and interests within the larger society. Dynamic assessment based on these contacts is also interpreted by means of the symbolic-legitimative responses as well as by the continuing organizational elaboration of the movement. | ||
