Whereas 7.4 percent of all tourists responding intended to attend church services during their stay in the area, 44.2 percent claimed that they would have done so if they were at home during the same time period. Further sample breakdown revealed variously similar or more pronounced disparities of intention among subjects claiming frequent church attendance habits and denominational preferences other than ‘NONE.’ Thus, vacations from home also appeared to indicate vacations from church attendance for these subjects.
