There is growing evidence, however, that enthusiasm for these small, neighborhood-level organizations is beginning to grow among more affluent Catholics as well. The research findings clearly indicate that the middle-class CEBs are more than simply a recently emergent shadow phenomenon, and are surprisingly similar to their less affluent counterparts in terms of activity preferences, organizational structure, and Church ties.
