En fait, la doctrine avicennienne, telle qu'elle apparaît dans le « Kitāb al-nafs » du Shifā', est équivoque et complexe : si l'homme peut prétendre au statut de sujet, de substance autonome existant par soi et pour soi, c'est à la condition de se comprendre d'abord comme réalité en relation suspendue à une hiérarchie ontologique qui exige réceptivité et passivité. This article attempts to present and study Avicenna's concept of subject. At the core of a theory of soul that explicitly sides with Aristotelism, Ibn Sînâ develops an original philosophical figure of subjectivity: one that allows for a hermeneutic of Coranic revelation while showing profound inspiration by neoplatonism. In fact, Avicenna's doctrine as it comes forth in the « Kitâb al-nafs » of the Shifā' is equivocal and complex. If man can lay claim to the statute of subject, i.e. an autonomous substance existing by and for itself, it is on the condition that he apprehend himself first as a reality in suspended relation to an ontological hierarchy that requires receptivity and passivity. | ||
