A writer as much as a philosopher, Kierkegaard stuck to the task right to the end, offering his work by offering his time, measured by the approach of its fatal end. Even though the substantial consistency of the work (in Danish: the dialectical productivity) escapes the author’s grasp, and though he subsequently claims to have been guided by Providence, his efforts remain the work of a writer capable of giving what he has received. | ||

Écrivain autant que philosophe, Kierkegaard fut à la tâche jusqu’au dernier moment, faisant don de son œuvre en faisant don de son temps mesuré par l’approche de l’issue fatale. Si la consistance de l’œuvre (en danois : la productivité dialectique) échappe à son auteur, qu’après coup il se dise avoir été guidé par la Providence, le travail est bien le fait de l’écrivain qui a l’art de donner ce qu’il a reçu. | ||
