By analyzing Ricœur’s claim that the cartesian philosophy of will represents a turning point within the tradition, the author aims to underline the interpretative shifts that testify to the influence of new mediations, namely Heidegger and Gueroult, but also and particularly to a critical distance that Ricœur displays towards Descartes far more obviously than in the « Philosophy of Will », a distance that is connected to a turning point in his thinking. With this objective in mind, the paper unfolds following three stages of Ricœur’s reading of Descartes : a) the phenomenological core ; b) the will and order of reason ; c) will and cogito. | ||

En examinant en quel sens la philosophie cartésienne de la volonté représente ici pour Ricœur un « tournant » au sein de la tradition, on vise à mettre en relief les glissements interprétatifs, qui témoignent de l’influence de nouvelles médiations - comme celle de Heidegger et de Gueroult - mais aussi et surtout d’un recul critique beaucoup plus net que dans la « Philosophie de la volonté » de Ricœur vis-à-vis de Descartes : recul qui est lié à un tournant de sa pensée.Dans ce but l’article se développe en suivant les trois moments de la lecture de Ricœur : a) noyau phénoménologique ; b) volonté et ordre des raisons ; c) volonté et cogito. | ||
