520 |a When we consider the last legislature and the beginning of the current one in the Brazilian National Congress (2015-2018 and 2019), we find Catholic deputies, identified as charismatics, whose deeds have been based on a discourse nearly restricted to conservative agendas, both qualitatively and quantitatively. Charismatic Catholics have elected deputies for almost three decades, from the 1980s to 2010, and over these years, the charismatic representation in politics has converged towards a distinctly conservative position. By analyzing the political activism of Brazilian charismatic Catholic deputies through their parliamentary performance, our research aims to describe how these religious actors approach the topics of "Non-Partisan Schools," "The Family Statute," and "The Unborn Child Statute."
