Description
Summary:The reciprocity of the topunan spirituality symbolizes an asymmetrical meal-fellowship of Jesus which subverts the abominable lethality of settler's coloniality that erases the traditions of the vulnerable yet resilient indigenous communities. In the complex intersectionality of indigeneity, communality, legality, marginality, sexuality, territoriality, ecospirituality and futurity, the emerging topunan spirituality provides indigenous communities a "resilient space" to negotiate, resist and transform the symmetricity of post(neo)colonial power of patriarchy. Emerging from within this "resilient space" is the "sapiential space" by which topunan spirituality enables the indigenous leaders to preserve and promote their post anthropocene wisdom that Laudato Si', Fratelli Tutti and Querida Amazonia have endorsed. This "sapiential space" generates an Earthhealing wisdom that subverts the scientific rationality that spawns the current ecological crises. Ultimately, this topunan spirituality enables indigenous communities to actualize themselves as earth-sustaining partners in shaping a sapiential era rightly called sapientialocene that foregrounds the sacred power of the Creator, ancestral and nature spirits.
