These two forces have a bearing on various facets of social life including the area of leadership. This paper seeks to examine the gendered nature and religious influences on women's leadership practices in general and specifically on the concept of servant leadership, Several perspectives have emerged in the contemporary period that have come to dominate the field of leadership but one of the central issues of concern in most of these perspectives is the moral imperatives driving the spirit of leadership. Amongst these emerging perspectives with a strong religious fervour is the notion of servant leadership. |
