The purpose of this essay is threefold: (1) to draw attention to preliminary evidence of both affinities and differences in the work of Smith and Lonergan; (2) to draw attention to the relevance of their work to the contemporary challenge of religious and cultural diversity; and (3) to invite fresh efforts toward interpreting their respective works on the human faith experience. | ||
