Summary: | Myers-Briggs personality types were collected in a survey of female Christian missionaries from the UK. Their psychological type profile differs significantly from the population norm. As a group, these female missionaries are more "intuitive" (N) and less "sensing" (S) than the norm. The NF temperament is more common and the SP temperament is less common than the norm and the proportion of INFJ type women is higher than for the population norm. These differences are typical of other female Christian religious groups, except for rural churchgoers. Female missionaries, as a group, are more "feeling" (F) and less "thinking" (T) than their male counterparts. |
