Using a cross-sectional approach and a self-report survey methodology in a sample of 301 primary-care outpatients, we examined the presence or not of having been bullied in childhood in relationship to participants' overall general orientation towards forgiveness, using the Forgiveness Scale. Chi-square analyses indicated no statistically significant relationships between having been bullied or not in childhood and forgiveness of others in adulthood. Additional analyses indicated no statistically significant difference between having been bullied or not in childhood and composite forgiveness scores. According to these findings, there does not appear to be a relationship between being bullied in childhood and one's general forgiveness status in adulthood - a relieving finding.
