The central thesis of the essay, which will be addressed both on a level of history of ideas (referring to the theoretical and textual sources) and on a level of current affairs (thanks to the emblematic case of Islamic Sufism), can be expressed through the assumption that only by recognizing the metaphysical unity of the different religious traditions - and therefore their common basis of truth - it is possible to establish a fruitful space for an interreligious dialogue that does not become neither syncretism nor lack of real communication because of the denial of the Other. | ||
