In the last half millennia, Telugus of various social locations embraced, resisted, appropriated, and transmitted Christianity. Their social aspirations, gender experiences, spiritual needs, political interests, and cultural backgrounds as well as historical contingencies influenced these processes of accepting, resistance, appropriation, and transmission.
