| Summary: | A characteristic feature of modern society is religious pluralism, which is an important factor in the competition between subjects of religious relations, the growth of their influence on each other. Ukrainian society has never been monoconfessional, and therefore contradictions or even conflicts between denominational communities have always existed in its territory. First of all, contradictions arose on the basis of the problems of coexistence of carriers of different confessional identities in society. In this context, the role of inter-confessional conflicts in the processes of the formation and preservation of their own confessional identity was acquired and become acute. However, it should be noted that there is a possibility of the reciprocal influence of confessional identity on aggravation of confrontations in interfaith relations. Характерною рисою сучасного суспільства є релігійний плюралізм, що постає важливим чинником конкуренції між суб’єктами релігійних відносин, зростання їх впливу один на одного. Українське суспільство ніколи не було моноконфесійним, а тому протиріччя або навіть конфлікти між конфесійними спільнотами завжди існували на його теренах. Насамперед суперечності виникали на основі проблем співіснування носіїв різноконфесійних ідентичностей в суспільстві. У цьому контексті особливої гостроти набували і набувають питання ролі міжконфесійних конфліктів в процесах формування та збереження власної конфесійної ідентичності. Проте варто зазначити й те, що існує можливість зворотнього впливу конфесійної ідентичності на загострення протистоянь у міжконфесійних відносинах. |
