Summary: | Ages ago Origenes had argued that in human potential for doing evil a strange and yet intriguing force is grounded. He suggested that we may draw a sinful and perverted pleasure from it. This way he had made a specific evaluation of the category of evil. That’s why it is a main aim of these investigations to make an attempt to think about this very phenomenon of the extraordinary beautyfication of evil which first had been made within high culture and already at the beginning of the 20th century became an element of popcultural reality. Examples are being recalled of an artistic (cinematic and literature) absorption of this founded by Christianity category. An attempt is also being made here of staking out a genesis of this phenomenon of a certain reinterpretation of evil, which seems to be made by contemporary people. |
