Schellenberg concentrates on the fact that there exists a class of "non-resistant non-believers". Those people are open to experience God and obtain faith, but as it seems, it is impossible for them. On the other hand, there is the concept of perfect entity, which is the most desirable good for creatures. That entity, it is said, has all resources to connect with people. From those data, according to Schellenberg, the most logical inference is that such an entity does not exist. Schellenberg considers and disqualifies all explanations provided by proponents of theistic hypothesis. Explanations embrace suggestions proposing that there are no non-resistant non-believers, through substitutionary faith to various explanations of possible reasons for God being hidden. Although the discussion seems to be unresolved at this junction, this article proposes some intuitions regarding possible ways out in accord with demands of theism combined with elements of pluralism. | ||
