Weil das Töten als solches kein Kriegsziel ist, mit dem sich die Bevölkerung oder die Soldat:innen leicht identifizieren können, werden die Argumente der eigenen Seite beschönigt, während der Gegner dehumanisiert und dämonisiert wird. Auf diese Weise helfen Euphemismen, Dysphemismen und ihre Mischformen in der Vorbereitung und Durchführung auch dieses Krieges. Die qualitative Inhaltsanalyse zweier Ansprachen des russischen Präsidenten unmittelbar vor dem Krieg sowie der Berichterstattung der staatlichen Nachrichtenagentur RIA Novosti und der auf Deutschland ausgerichteten russischen Redaktion RT DE untersucht die genauen Ausprägungen einer solchen wertenden Propagandasprache und ihre Trends. | ||

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" - de facto war - against Ukraine. Because killing as such is not a war goal with which the population or soldier can easily identify, the arguments of one's own side are glossed over, while the opponent is dehumanized and demonized. In this way, euphemisms, dysphemisms and their mixed forms help in the preparation and execution of this war as well. The qualitative content analysis of two speeches of the Russian president immediately before the war as well as the reporting of the state news agency RIA Novosti and the Russian editorial RT DE, which focuses on Germany, examines the exact manifestations of such judgmental propaganda language and its trends. | ||
