Résumé:H. Rahner prepared a doctorate in history between 1931 and 1934/35 at the University Bonn. There he met W. Levison and F. J. Dölger who started the research programme 'Antiquity and Christianity'. Rahner was prepared to cooperate, but the political situation in Innsbruck did not allow his contribution. The article informs about this periode and shows the conditions of H. Rahner's first steps into academic work.
