Summary: | This essay will use qualitative action research, unstructured life story interview, and socio-historical techniques to examine the collected narrative of Omo Osalo Fobeyó (OOF, pseudonym). OOF is a 57-year-old Puerto Rican man who is a multiple spiritual/religious belonging (MS/RB) believer. MS/RB can be understood as the belief that it is possible or necessary to practice the rites, rituals, and beliefs of as many spiritualities/religions as one can combine. As an MS/RB believer, OOF performs a Lukumí/Yoruba Afro-Caribbean and Protestant religions/spiritualities (S/R). As a result of the action research process, the collected narrative will be the primary data source to construct a case study identifying post/decolonial strategies of this believer and look to its implication for a Spanish-speaking Greater Antillean Caribbean MS/RB caregiving proposal. |
