Il suggère de surcroît que la liste de districts incluait à l’origine le Mishor mais, suite à une erreur de copie, le mem primitif de הַמִּישׁוֹר a été pris pour un aleph et un nisbé a été suffixé (d’où הָאֲשׁוּרִי). Ainsi le récit primitif du territoire d’Ishba'al incluait-il les districts de Galaad, Mishor, Yizréel, Éphraïm et Benjamin, dont l’étendue combinée est désignée «Israël dans son entièreté». Cela correspond au modèle du Cantique de Débora, selon lequel les cinq tribus de Ruben, Galaad, Éphraïm, Benjamin et Makir totalisaient le territoire israélite sur les deux rives du Jourdain. | ||

Thus, the original account of Ishba'al’s territory included the districts of Gilead, Mishor, Jezreel, Ephraim and Benjamin, whose combined areas is designated 'Israel in its entirety'. It fits the pattern of the Song of Deborah, according to which the five tribes of Reuben, Gilead, Ephraim, Benjamin, and Machir encompassed the Israelite territory on both sides of the Jordan. | ||
