The Exodus was indeed an important element in the construction of a comparative history of religions from Antiquity until at least the 17th century. By directing our attention to the intertextual interplay of reactions and counter-reactions, a game attested even in India and in Chinese documents, we hope to show how the mosaic exit from Egypt has been rewritten in terms of political theology. | ||
