Israel's current colonial project against Gaza as forced displacement can be deconstructed through such rhetoric. Darwish's postcolonial utopia aligns with Bill Ashcroft's appeal to the creation of a better world free from hate, categorisation and the desire for annihilation. Strangely, Gaza's anti-colonial project for national independence has been unjustly categorized and distorted by Zionist Israel that espouses the ‘categorise and colonise’ slogan for imperial expansionism. Darwish's discourse introduces liberal-humanist cosmopolitan aesthetics to foreground a categorisation-free dialogue between Israelis and Palestinians through dissemination of the ethics of negotiation rather than negation. Darwish's rhetoric of postcolonial utopia comprises as such: the human promise; the entanglement of self and other. | ||
