Firstly, the issue of different causal accounts within the new mechanical philosophy and the question regarding what philosophical reflections on the plurality of scientific explanation and causality can bring to theology. Secondly, Aquinas’ metaphysics of the ultimate foundation of all reality in the triune God and how it can be insightful in its applications to contemporary theology. In conclusion the richness of reality, understood as the epistemic good (value) which implies moral (theological) humility, will be discussed. | ||
