Description
Résumé:The digitalization era has witnessed various advancements in information and communication technology. In Malaysia, in particular, society has increasingly relied on new media channels to obtain quick and efficient information, such as social media. This involves issues related to religion, the economy, politics, and more. This article aims to examine YouTube channels that actively upload videos related to the Quran and exegesis for sharing with the audience. Additionally, it identifies the types of applications used in these videos. This study employs a qualitative method with a content analysis approach to gather data. The results reveal that out of 80 top-ranked Islamic channels on YouTube, 40 discuss the Quran and its branches of knowledge. Furthermore, there are a variety of video formats, including webinars, lectures, forums, debates, tutorials on Tajweed, Tarannum, and Qiraat, animations created with PowerPoint, Moovly, Powtoon, kinetic typography, GoAnimate, films, daily vlogs, games, and more. Therefore, through these discussions, it is hoped that Muslims can benefit from the information and knowledge obtained from YouTube sources while ensuring their authenticity and adherence to true Islamic teachings.
