Probabilmente per risolvere le aporie del creazionismo, la dottrina ripresa più di frequente da tali pensatori fu quella neoplatonica, che dovette subire profonde rielaborazioni per essere conciliata con la fede islamica. Lo studio si interroga perciò sui rapporti dei falāsifa con la religione. Essi erano considerati consapevoli avversari dell’Islam da alcuni teologi e missionari del Medioevo latino. Ma forse, la relazione fra falsafa e religione si può già trovare risolta nel celebre sogno di al-Ma’mūn. After a survey of the meanings of the key research terms and their presence in the Qur’an, the various conceptions of philosophy in the strict sense are presented, beginning with the falāsifa inspired by Greek thought through to the Ismailis. Probably to solve the aporias of creationism, the doctrine most frequently taken up by such thinkers was the Neoplatonic one, which had to undergo profound reworking in order to be reconciled with the Islamic faith. The study therefore questions the relationship of the falāsifa with religion. They were considered to be conscious opponents of Islam by some theologians and missionaries of the Latin Middle Ages. But perhaps, the relationship between falāsifa and religion is already answered in the famous dream of al-Ma’mūn. | ||
