Zusammenfassung:The interpretation of biblical texts necessarily involves intercultural issues. Any reading of the Bible involves the meeting of another culture or other cultures because the biblical text is marked by the culture of its authors. Moreover, interpretation, understood as the process of appropriation of meaning, always involves dialogue between the culture of the author and that of the reader. Thus, interculturality in biblical interpretation is based on the hermeneutics of the Word of God. On the one hand, he Word of God transcends the cultures in which it has been expressed and has the ability to spread in other cultures, so as to reach the whole human race; on the other hand, each culture is able to appropriate divine revelation in its own categories. This study aims to demonstrate that tribal identities are one of the places of intercultural reading of the Bible in Africa, with highly pragmatic issues. After analysing the biblical texts and the philosophical foundations of the tribes in Africa, it appears that the motif of the tribe in the Bible and in Africa contributes to the construction of tribal identities, of which the ancestors form the basis.
